§Privacy policy

Your controller stays yours.

Last updated October 18, 2026

Haptella doesn't collect, store or share personal data. There's no account, no analytics and no advertising, and the app doesn't make network connections of its own. Everything it does happens on your Mac.

Haptella is a Mac app made by Lionary LLC. This page explains what the app reads, what it keeps, and how this website works.

What the app reads

  • Your controller. Button presses, stick and trigger positions, touchpad touches, motion, battery level and whether it's connected by cable or Bluetooth. Haptella turns these into pointer movement, clicks, scrolling and shortcuts on your Mac. They aren't recorded or sent anywhere.
  • Which app is in front. This lets a profile change a few buttons for that app, or pause Haptella while a game is open.
  • Not your keyboard. Haptella doesn't read your keyboard and never records what you type.

What the app stores

Your profiles and settings are saved on your Mac, in your user Library folder. If you export a profile, the file goes wherever you choose to save it. Nothing is uploaded.

Permissions

  • Accessibility lets Haptella move the pointer, click, scroll and press keys for you.
  • Input Monitoring lets Haptella read the parts of the controller macOS doesn't share by default: the precise touchpad, the PS and Mute buttons, and the DualSense Edge back buttons and Fn buttons.

You can turn either one off at any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.

Actions you set up

If you map a button to open a link or run a shell command, Haptella does exactly that when you press it. Any network traffic from those actions comes from the link or command you chose.

Haptella can start and stop Wispr Flow or another dictation app for you. What those apps do with your voice is covered by their own privacy policies.

This website

  • haptella.com is a static site hosted by Vercel. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts and the App Store badge loads from Apple, so those services see your IP address when your browser requests them.
  • Your theme and lightbar color choices are saved in your own browser's storage and never sent to us.
  • If you connect a controller to the page, your browser reads it only to move the on-page pointer.

Children

Haptella isn't directed at children, and it doesn't collect data from anyone.
